Year 9 Options and Key Stage 4 Course Information 2026
Introduction
The time has come for decisions to be made about your next stage of your education. This is a crucial period of transition from KS3 to KS4. You will consider your strengths and interests in order to make an informed choice about your progression pathway. You need to take responsibility for identifying your personal curriculum route, which will be followed at KS4.
Please read the Course Descriptions in this booklet carefully as they contain information about each course offered at KS4. There are three compulsory examined subjects (core) and you will continue to follow a programme of PE, which will not be examined. Your teachers and the KS3 Progress Team (Please see Page 34) will advise you about which would be the most suitable route for success.
