Transition from primary to secondary school can be an exciting time for many New students.
The opportunity to experience new subjects, new activities and make new friends at a bigger school is often met with great enthusiasm.
At The Ravensbourne School we understand that whilst most new students feel this way, some may feel nervous and anxious at the thought of starting at a new school. That is why we have developed our transition programme, to ensure all our new students feel supported in their transition process and that it goes as smoothly as possible.
Download our programme to see what opportunities are on offer for you and your child to find out more about life at The Ravensbourne School and for us to get to know your child, long before their first day.
We are delighted to invite our new starters into school in March to take part in some fun activities with their future peers whilst parents heard from our senior leaders and students about life at The Ravensbourne School and what they can expect.

Team Building Afternoon
Our Team Building Afternoon in June is another chance for our new starters to take part in fun activities whilst getting to know their peers and teachers before Induction Day.
In July, all new Year 7s spend a whole day in school for the first time. The day includes a tour of the school, meeting their new tutor and classmates and getting to grips with what life at secondary school is all about and what there is to look forward to.
We hold a Summer School during the holidays which include curriculum workshops to support the step up to secondary school learning as well as some engaging activities in sport and the creative arts.
