Subject Intent

Drama and Performing Arts is so much more than showcasing skills to entertain. The Drama Department is devoted to nurturing a sophisticated understanding of self and others through through ensemble-based learning, rooted in trust, acceptance and ambitious purpose.  We empower students to explore and celebrate their uniqueness, their individuality and embrace our differences.   Our students develop specialist practical skills in physical theatre and a wide range of genres.  The warm, inclusive environment in Drama, allows students to feel safe and free to explore their individuality. Drama can challenge perceptions of others, cultural norms and societal prejudice. All our students are inspired to create work that make their voices heard to change the world for the better.
