Year 8: Holes
In Year 8 some students have been studying the novel Holes by Louis Sachar. It is a book about a boy called Stanley Yelnats who comes from a family who seem to have a lot of bad luck. One day Stanley gets sent to Camp Green Lake; a camp for bad boys. When he gets there he can't find the lake and instead has to dig holes all day long to 'build character'. While there he makes new friends, and enemies and tries to dig up the truth about the camp.
