Year 10 Speaking and Listening Debates
Year 10 students have been working on the first of their speaking and listening assignments this half term. As part of their English GCSE students are required to complete a mimimum of three speaking and listening activities which contribute towards their final grade.
For this particular task students in Miss Green's English class worked together with Mrs German and Mrs Carle to explore controversial topics currently in the news. The class completed research into the reclassification of cannabis and held a formal debate on this issue. We will be moving on to explore the ongoing topical debate about whether examinations place too much pressure on students, followed by the students' choice: animal testing.
