About The Ravensbourne School

Welcome from the Headteacher

The Ravensbourne School is an Academy belonging to the E21C Trust located in the heart of Bromley.

We believe in an holistic education for our students in which both academic excellence and personal development are the key ingredients for a happy and successful life.  I feel immensely privileged to be the Acting Headteacher of this unique school which positively transforms the life chances of the young people of our local community.

In May 2018 we were recognised by Ofsted as a good school.  You can be absolutely confident that our mission as a school is to become outstanding.  Not for any badge that may bring us – but because we believe in delivering an education that empowers our young people.

We are proud of our school vision and strong values.  We aim to develop resilience, respect, responsibility, resourcefulness and reflection in our students.  Our teachers are creative, skilful, dedicated and enthusiastic professionals, who work tirelessly to improve the outcomes for all students.  We are very proud of the achievements of our students, past and present.  For a flavour of their many successes please browse the issues of the Ravensbourne Review (Editions of The Ravensbourne Review)

We are large school which creates a dynamic and diverse community.  However, we are not so large that we cannot pay attention to the small details. We appreciate that every child is different and each deserves success.  We believe that every child has unique talents and that through harnessing and honing each child’s talents they will fulfil their full potential.  Our students are rightly proud of their school and all visitors comment on their excellent behaviour and happy atmosphere.  Our goal at The Ravensbourne School is a clear one: to enable all students to develop their knowledge, love of learning, skills and character so that they can be happy in life and be successful in higher education or the inspiring career pathway of their choice.
